9/28/16 **IMPORTANT** Ransomware

Everyone:

We had two cases of computers being infected with Ransomware this afternoon.  Both users have lost every one of their files.  Ransomware encrypts your files so you cannot get access to them, and in order to get them back in usable form you have to pay them.  We cannot pay for this as a school, and we CANNOT have anyone else getting this infection.  If you get this infection, and it gets on your Dropbox files, EVERYONE YOU HAVE FOLDERS SHARED WITH WILL GET THE INFECTION AS WELL. 

Remember you HAVE to be careful when you are on the web.  I will be calling Thirtyseven4 tomorrow to find out why it isn’t being blocked but in the meantime you must be very very VERY careful.
