involved! Your everyday life is affected by the decisions
made by adults, and adults only! YOU HAVE RIGHTS! Today
you have an opportunity to take an active role in changing your life and
making decisions that will affect you! A case has been introduced to the School Board because of a young girl who is trying to wrestle on the boys wrestling team of her school. There are hard feelings and resentments throughout the town, and the rights of the town's young people may be in jeopardy. You have been elected by the faculty and student body to help gather information as to what would be the best or most appropriate action for your school. Your rights depend on how well you gather information and are able to persuade the School Board with your information. This may be your last chance to be able to keep or change the school to the way you think that it should be. The School Board will make a decision based on your information. You will be expected to present the positions and rights of both males and females within a school setting. Can you persuade them? IT IS UP TO YOU TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE! |

Is your opinion still the same? Does your opinion reflect what is the best for the school or just what is best for YOU? Can you make a difference? Do you have the power to find and document information that could be valuable in making decisions to change your school environment? Do YOUR feelings matter? The answer to all of these questions is YES! You are important! You can make a difference! You have accepted and met the challenge! Congratulation! |
