School Board Agenda

The Board of Trustees of the Friona Independent School District will meet in a regular session on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Meeting Room of the Friona I.S.D. Administration Building, 909 East 11th Street, Friona, Texas 79035.
 

The agenda for this meeting is as follows:

 
  1. The Board will hear from visitors.
  2. The Board will watch presentation by FCCLA group going to Nationals.
  3. The Board will watch presentation and proposal for Reading Specialist position at FISD.
  4. The oath of office will be administered to Danny Hand and Tracy Bunker.
  5. The Board will reorganize and elect officers for the 2008-2009 school term.
  6. Consent Agenda
    A.  Approve minutes of previous meeting
    B.  Accept the following reports from the Administration:
             a. Budget Summary Report
             b. District Maintenance Report
             c. Enrollment Report
    C.  Report on School Funds
             a. Superintendent Activity
             b. Local Maintenance
             c. Permanent School Fund
             d. Cafeteria Report
    D.  Tax Collection Report            
  7. Payment of bills.
  8.  The Board will approve TASB recommendation regarding FEC (Local)
  9. The Board will hear a report on Daycare Center
 10. The Board will approve variance for Elementary TEEG Grant May 1, version.
 11. The Board will authorize interim superintendent to file the Consolidated Application for Federal Funding under the E-Grants Program.
 12. The Board will consider recommendations on stipend adjustments.
 13. The Board will consider budget amendments..
 14. The Board will hear a report on resignations and staffing for 2008-2009.
  15. Adjourn
 During the course of the meeting if any discussion of any item on the agenda should be held in closed session, the session will be conducted  in accordance with the Texas Open Meeting Act, Texas Government Code, Chapter 551, Subchapter D & E.
