Did you know there is an exercise pyramid just like the food pyramid that lets you get the exercise you need?  First, you learn about the exercise pyramid and then you will learn about the fun activities.  Your final task will be to make your own exercise pyramid.

1. Your teacher will give you a copy of the exercise pyramid (please notice that you do more of the things on the bottom than of the things on the top).

2. Press this link and learn about the activity pyramid.

4. The next level are the things you should do sometimes. (example-aerobic exercise)

5. Next, are the activities you should do sometimes. (example-leisure and play time)

6. At the top of the pyramid are the things you should cut down on like watching TV or videos.

7. Get an activity handout from your teacher and each day when you come to class write down all of the activities you did during and after school.

8. Using your handout you will draw your own personal exercise pyramid showing the things you did during the week.
